_____________

Shivansh sat in his usual seat near the window, calmly flipping through his notebook while Piyush sat beside him lazily writing notes.

The classroom buzzed with random chatter while Vihaan had gone to submit the notebooks to the teacher.

"Tune assignment complete kar liya?" Piyush asked casually, already knowing the answer.

(Have you completed the assignment?)

"Kar liya tha," Shivansh replied without looking up from the notebook in his hands. "Lekin Myra ki best friend ne uspe paani gira diya."

(I had completed it. But Myra's best friend spilled water all over it.)

A faint twitch appeared at the corner of his lips as Aadhya's horrified face flashed through his mind.

"Kiara ne?" Piyush immediately looked at him.

(Kiara did?)

Shivansh shook his head lightly.

"Nahi... uski dusri friend."

(No... her other friend.)

"Aadhya?" Piyush's voice instantly turned excited.

Shivansh simply nodded while underlining an important point in his notebook.

"Hawww!" Piyush gasped dramatically. "Fir tune usko daanta?"

(Then did you scold her?)

Shivansh finally looked at him and shook his head before quietly explaining everything that had happened.

By the end of it, Piyush was grinning like a menace.

"Aaj jab tu uske saath library mein baithega na," he leaned closer mischievously, "tab uska reaction dekhna. I'm hundred percent sure she likes you."

(Today when you sit with her in the library, watch her reaction.)

"Fir se wahi baat?" Shivansh glared at him. "Bataun Vihaan ko?"

(Again the same thing? Should I tell Vihaan?)

"Aree yaar, sach mein!" Piyush rolled his eyes dramatically. "She literally blushes whenever you're around!"

Shivansh frowned slightly.

"Kya bol raha hai tu, Piyush?" he said calmly. "She's my best friend's sister and my sister's best friend. How can she like me?"

(What are you even saying?)

Then after a pause, he added quietly,

"And even if she does... so what? Everyone has their own choices and likings."

Piyush stared at him for two seconds before groaning dramatically.

"Bahut bhav khata hai tu."

(You have too much attitude.)

Just then Vihaan returned and dropped onto the bench beside them.

"Kiski burai ho rahi hai?"

(Who are you both gossiping about?)

Immediately both boys straightened innocently.

"Padhai ki," Shivansh replied calmly.

(About studies.)

Vihaan just chuckled.

Every passing minute felt dangerous for Aadhya.

The closer lunch break came, the faster butterflies attacked her stomach.

By the time it was finally time to go to the library, her heartbeat had genuinely forgotten how to function normally.

Clutching her pouch dramatically against her chest, she slowly walked toward the library.

As soon as she entered, her eyes instantly found him.

Of course they did.

Shivansh sat near the corner window, calmly reading a book while soft sunlight filtered across his face.

Shit.

Am I late?!

As if sensing her presence, he looked up.

And their eyes met.

That alone nearly killed her.

A soft smile appeared on his face before he gestured toward the empty seat beside him.

Aadhya walked toward him carefully.

Very carefully.

Because the floor and she had a very personal enemies-to-lovers relationship.

One wrong step and she'd probably fall directly onto him.

Which would either kill her or make her shift planets permanently.

Trying to act normal, she sat beside him while internally screaming.

Her heart raced violently inside her chest.

Shivansh noticed the awkward silence almost immediately.

Deciding not to make things worse, he gently pushed the papers toward her.

"Shall we start?" he asked softly.

His voice alone made her stomach flip.

Not trusting herself to speak without embarrassing herself further, Aadhya simply nodded quickly.

Shivansh patiently explained how she needed to rewrite everything while she tried her best to focus on the assignment instead of his face.

Unfortunately for her, his face existed.

Aadhya gripped the pen tightly and began writing carefully.

Being the turtle she naturally was, she wrote painfully slowly because she refused to let her handwriting look ugly in front of him.

Then suddenly,

Shivansh leaned slightly closer to grab the pen lying near her hand.

And Aadhya completely forgot how oxygen worked.

Her shoulders stiffened instantly.

Their faces were way too close.

Way.

Too.

Close.

Heat rushed across her cheeks so quickly it physically hurt.

Meanwhile Shivansh paused for a second.

Piyush's words suddenly echoed inside his head.

"She blushes whenever you're around."

His eyes slowly lifted toward her face.

And for a moment,

he froze slightly.

Her cheeks were completely pink.

Even her ears were red.

And her fingers trembled faintly while writing.

Piyush wasn't wrong.

Heat quietly crawled toward Shivansh's ears too before he immediately cleared his throat and looked away.

The silence somehow became even more awkward after that.

After finishing nearly five pages, Aadhya flexed her fingers painfully.

Shivansh noticed instantly.

"Take a break," he said softly with a small smile.

Aadhya nodded gratefully before immediately looking down because eye contact felt life-threatening right now.

Just then, a junior entered the library hurriedly.

"Shivansh bhaiya, principal ma'am bula rahi hain."

(Principal ma'am is calling you.)

Shivansh nodded before standing up.

Then he looked toward Aadhya.

"You keep writing. I'll be back in a few minutes."

And then he left.

The SECOND he disappeared,

"EHHHHHHH-"

Aadhya dramatically collapsed against the chair in relief.

"Oh my Kanha..." she whispered dramatically. "Ye Shivansh itna zyada likhte kaise hai yaar? Humara to haath toot gaya!"

(How does he write THIS much? My hand is broken!)

After resting for a few moments, she finally picked the pen up again.

As much as she wanted this torture to end because of the butterflies destroying her internally...

Another part of her never wanted this moment to end at all.

Because she was alone with him.

In the library.

Writing together.

Like some cheesy academic romance movie.

"Kanha jii..." she muttered dreamily while writing. "Ye Shivansh itne mast dikhte hai yaar..."

(Why does Shivansh look so good?)

"Bhagwan ji se puchiye na, kitne time mein banaya tha inko?"

(Someone ask God how much time He took to create him.)

"Matlab samne se toh ekdum... hottie hottie lagte hai."

(Seriously, from the front he looks like a complete hottie.)

Meanwhile,

Right behind her, Shivansh had already returned.

And unfortunately for her...

He heard everything.

His steps stopped for a second.

Heat rushed straight toward his ears while he stared at the girl completely unaware of his presence.

Then quietly clearing his throat, he walked back toward the table.

Aadhya nearly jumped out of her soul.

She straightened instantly.

"A-apne kuch suna kya?"

(Did you hear anything?)

Shivansh looked at her for two seconds.

Then deciding not to embarrass her further, he simply shook his head calmly.

"Kuch sunna tha kya?"

(Was I supposed to hear something?)

Aadhya's cheeks burned again.

"Nahi!"

She immediately bent down and continued writing aggressively like her life depended on it.

After another hour of suffering, she finally completed the assignment and dropped the pen dramatically.

A relieved sigh escaped her mouth.

Shivansh looked at her and smiled faintly.

"Next time," he said calmly, "dhyaan rakhna kisi ke assignment ke around."

(Be careful around someone's assignment.)

"Warna woh tumse aise likhwaenge jaise maine likhvaya."

(Or they'll make you rewrite everything like I did.)

Without thinking, Aadhya muttered quietly,

"Aapke saath baithne ke liye toh hum kuch bhi kar sakte hai..."

(I can do anything just to sit with you.)

Then immediately she straightened like the world's most innocent student.

Shivansh looked at her for a second before quietly standing up.

Then he placed a samosa in front of her.

"I made you write all this," he said softly. "So take this as an apology."

Aadhya's eyes widened.

Samosa.

Her true love.

But trying to act decent, she quickly shook her head.

"No no! It was my fault! I should apologize"

"Please," Shivansh smiled slightly. "I insist."

And honestly?

Nobody could fight food for that long.

"Ab aap itna bol hi rahe hai toh..."

(If you're insisting this much...)

She slowly took the samosa while trying not to look too excited.

The second Shivansh left,

Aadhya looked at the samosa emotionally.

"Khanaaaa~"

(Foodddd~)

And immediately stuffed almost the entire thing into her mouth.

Then,

Shivansh suddenly returned.

Aadhya froze.

Her cheeks puffed out completely because her mouth was FULL.

Literal crumbs clung near her lips.

For one second Shivansh just stared at her.

Then he physically had to hold back a laugh.

"I forgot my pen," he explained calmly while picking it up from the table.

Then looking at her puffed-up face, he finally smiled properly.

"I'll give you more if you like it this much."

And before leaving,

He gently patted her head.

Then finally walked away while quietly laughing to himself.

Meanwhile Aadhya sat there frozen.

Absolutely destroyed by embarrassment.

"Hey Bhagwan..." she whispered painfully before immediately grabbing her pouch and running straight out of the library like a criminal fleeing the country.

(O my god!)

Vihaan was heading toward the staff room to submit his assignment since he hadn't been able to earlier during class hours.

The corridor buzzed softly with students rushing around before the next period, but the moment he entered the staff room, a different atmosphere greeted him altogether.

Strict silence.

Teachers sat behind cluttered desks checking notebooks, writing remarks, sipping tea, and occasionally glaring at students standing in front of them like criminals awaiting punishment.

Vihaan walked toward Anjali ma'am's desk and handed over his assignment casually.

But before he could leave, his eyes landed on someone standing nearby.

Myra.

She stood quietly in front of the teacher's desk with her head lowered, fingers twisting nervously together. Her usual dramatic energy was nowhere to be seen today.

And for some reason,

Vihaan immediately noticed that.

"This is becoming too much now, Myra," Anjali ma'am said sternly while adjusting her spectacles. "You three are always on the radar list. And now you haven't submitted the notebook I've been asking for since the last three days."

Myra swallowed nervously.

"Mam... I'll submit it tomorrow. Promise..." she said softly, her voice trembling slightly.

"That's exactly what you said yesterday too."

Myra bit her lower lip helplessly and looked down again.

Because the truth was,

She genuinely had no idea where her notebook had disappeared.

And now she was standing there getting scolded in front of everyone.

For a second, Vihaan frowned slightly.

Then suddenly,

He remembered.

The notebook.

The one he had found earlier inside Aadhya's messy drawer.

'Myra Ranawat' written on the front.

Without wasting another second, Vihaan quietly turned around and walked straight out of the staff room.

Myra barely even noticed him leave because she was too busy trying not to cry from embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Vihaan almost jogged back toward his classroom.

He opened his bag quickly, pulled out the notebook he had secretly kept earlier, and immediately headed back.

When he entered the staff room again, Anjali ma'am was still scolding Myra.

"This is your last warning, I'm telling you-"

"Ma'am."

Both women looked up.

Myra's eyes widened instantly seeing Vihaan standing beside her.

Way too close beside her.

For one awkward second, she completely forgot how to breathe.

Vihaan casually held the notebook forward.

"Myra, here's your notebook. Shivansh asked me to give it to you."

His voice remained perfectly calm.

But he made sure the teacher heard every single word.

Myra blinked at him in surprise.

He was helping her.

And not even making it obvious.

Quickly taking the notebook from his hands with slightly shaky fingers, she handed it to Anjali ma'am.

The teacher's expression softened immediately.

"You should've told me Shivansh had your notebook," she sighed while taking it from her.

"Sorry ma'am..." Myra muttered quietly.

A few moments later, both of them stepped out of the staff room together.

The second the door closed behind them, Myra let out a long breath of relief like she had just survived a battlefield.

Vihaan glanced at her once before silently handing her his water bottle.

Myra looked up at him in surprise.

Then slowly took it.

After drinking some water, she finally looked a little alive again.

"Thank you..." she said softly, offering him a small smile.

Vihaan shrugged casually.

"No need to be formal. I only helped because you're my best friend's sister and sister's best friend."

Myra's expression instantly changed.

She rolled her eyes dramatically.

"I take my thank you back."

And before he could reply, she started walking ahead faster than before.

Vihaan stared at her in disbelief for one second before laughing softly.

"Aree! Mera water bottle toh de do! Wo bhi le jaogi kya?!"

(Hey! At least give my water bottle back! Are you planning to steal that too?!)

Myra stopped mid-step.

Then slowly looked down at the bottle still in her hand.

"Oh."

Without turning around properly, she tossed it back toward him.

Vihaan caught it easily while laughing under his breath.

Meanwhile Myra walked away huffing dramatically to herself.

"Stupid boy."

Vihaan shook his head with amusement before opening the bottle cap absentmindedly and taking another sip from it.

And then,

He paused.

A tiny grin slowly appeared on his lips.

"Tastes sweeter now," he muttered quietly to himself before chuckling and walking back toward class.

As the day slowly progressed, students began leaving the school building in noisy groups.

The final bell had already rung almost ten minutes ago, and the school gate area looked chaotic as usual.

Among the crowd stood Piyush, lazily waiting for his friends with one hand inside his hoodie pocket.

But then,

His eyes landed on Kiara.

And immediately, something felt wrong.

She was walking unusually fast, clutching her bag tightly while avoiding looking behind her.

And behind her,

Ashish followed.

Piyush's expression darkened instantly.

Without even thinking twice, he walked toward them quickly.

"Kiara?"

Kiara looked up suddenly.

The moment she saw him, visible relief flashed across her face.

"Are you okay?" Piyush asked immediately, unconsciously stepping slightly in front of her protectively.

Kiara nodded quickly.

But her nervous eyes drifted toward Ashish approaching them again.

Piyush followed her gaze.

And his jaw tightened.

"I told you to stop following her," he said coldly.

Ashish scoffed lightly.

"And who are you to tell me that?" he smirked. "Her boyfriend?"

Before Piyush could even answer,

"Yes. He is."

Silence.

Complete silence.

Piyush slowly turned toward Kiara with the most stunned expression imaginable.

Boyfriend?

EXCUSE ME?

SINCE WHEN?!

Meanwhile Kiara herself looked shocked at her own words.

But it was too late now.

Ashish's smirk disappeared instantly.

But only for a second.

"Boyfriend or not," he said while glaring at them, "Kiara meri hai. Aur main use kisi bhi haal mein hasil karke rahunga."

(Kiara is mine. And I'll get her no matter what.)

Piyush stared at him for two seconds.

Then frowned.

"Agar Kiara tumhari hai," he asked calmly, "toh tumhe use hasil karne ki zarurat kyun pad rahi hai?"

(If Kiara is already yours, then why do you need to 'win' her?)

Ashish's expression faltered.

And for the first time,

He had no comeback.

Meanwhile beside him, Kiara looked up at Piyush quietly.

And somehow,

For the first time all day.

She finally felt safe again.

The school corridor was still filled with loud chatter, footsteps, random shouting, and students dragging themselves out like survivors of war.

Meanwhile,

Aadhya, Kiara, and Myra were sitting near the school garden wall absolutely losing their minds.

"PHIR KYA HUA?!"

(THEN WHAT HAPPENED?!)

Kiara slapped Aadhya's arm dramatically while laughing so hard she could barely breathe.

Aadhya buried her burning face inside her palms.

"MAT POOCH BEHEN!"

(DON'T ASK!)

"Bhaiya ne sach mein tumhe samosa diya?!" Myra gasped dramatically.

(Did bhaiya really give you a samosa?!)

Aadhya looked personally attacked.

"Haan diya tha!"

(YES HE DID!)

The second she admitted it, both girls burst into another round of laughter.

"And then?" Kiara leaned forward excitedly. "Tell properly!"

Aadhya groaned loudly.

"He came back okay?! Suddenly! Aur mera muh pura bhara hua tha samose se!"

(And my mouth was completely full of samosa!)

Myra nearly fell sideways laughing.

"OH BHAIII."

"He saw me chewing like a buffalo!"

Kiara clutched her stomach dramatically.

"Aadhya please," she wheezed, "stop embarrassing yourself in front of him every single day."

"I DON'T DO IT ON PURPOSE!"

The girls continued laughing while Aadhya sat there questioning why God personally hated her.

Just then,

A familiar scooty entered through the school gate.

Aadhya's eyes widened instantly.

"DIDIIII!"

Ira removed her helmet dramatically while glaring at the chaotic traffic near the gate.

She looked exhausted already.

Her kurti sleeves were folded up carelessly, sunglasses rested over her head, and her expression screamed:

'I have dealt with enough nonsense today.'

The second Aadhya spotted her, she immediately stood up excitedly.

"You came?!"

"Unfortunately."

Ira parked her scooty near the gate before looking at her younger sister suspiciously.

"Vihaan ko library Jana tha. Mummy ne bola tumhe safely ghar leke jaaun warna tum raste mein kisi gutter mein gir jaogi."

(Vihaan have to go to the library. Mom told me to take you home safely or you'll probably fall into a gutter on the way.)

"Didi!" Aadhya gasped in betrayal.

Kiara and Myra laughed instantly.

Meanwhile Ira finally greeted the other two girls before crossing her arms dramatically.

"Ab chalein? Ya yahi buddhi hona hai tum log ko?"

(Should we leave now or are you planning to grow old here?)

Before anyone could reply,

A bike suddenly stopped near the school entrance.

The sound alone made Myra turn immediately.

And unfortunately for Ira,

She turned too.

Advik removed his helmet casually, running a hand through his slightly messy hair.

Black t-shirt. Grey cargo pants. Sleeves folded.

And that annoyingly calm expression permanently resting on his face.

Ira's eyes narrowed immediately.

"Oh great."

Meanwhile Advik spotted Myra first.

Then his eyes shifted toward Ira.

And his peaceful expression disappeared instantly.

"You?"

Ira scoffed dramatically.

"What kind of reaction is that? Bhootni hoon kya Mai?"

(What kind of reaction is that? Am I a ghost or something?)

"Close enough."

Aadhya and Kiara gasped loudly.

Myra immediately looked away to hide her smile because she already knew,

These two fought like divorced parents.

Advik parked his bike beside the pavement while Myra walked toward him.

"Bhaiya, aap yaha?"

(Bro, you here?)

"I was nearby for college work," he replied simply. "Thought I'd pick you up."

Meanwhile Ira muttered under her breath.

"Haan haan, Very responsible."

(Sure. Very responsible.)

Unfortunately,

Advik heard that.

He slowly turned toward her.

"And you're here doing what exactly? Terrorizing innocent civilians?"

Ira placed a dramatic hand over her chest.

"Character assassination!"

Aadhya sighed happily.

Entertainment had arrived.

Just then Ira grabbed her scooty handle again to move it slightly,

But because destiny clearly enjoyed chaos!

The scooty tilted sideways suddenly.

SCRRRAATCHHHHHH

Everyone froze.

Complete silence.

A long scratch now sat beautifully across Advik's bike.

Aadhya's soul left her body instantly.

Kiara covered her mouth.

Myra slowly closed her eyes.

Meanwhile,

Advik stared at the scratch.

Then at Ira.

Then again at the scratch.

His jaw clenched.

"...You did not."

Ira blinked once.

Then twice.

Then looked at the scratch herself.

"Oh."

Advik laughed softly.

Not happy laughter.

Dangerous laughter.

"So," he nodded slowly, "you're here again to annoy me."

Ira immediately got defensive.

"Aree accident tha!"

(It was an accident!)

"Of course it was."

"You're acting like I murdered someone!"

"You murdered my BIKE!."

Kiara physically turned away because she was about to laugh.

Meanwhile Aadhya whispered dramatically to Myra,

"They fight like enemies in a daily soap."

Myra nodded seriously.

"Very concerning."

Meanwhile Ira folded her arms stubbornly.

"It's literally one scratch."

"One scratch?" Advik repeated in disbelief. "DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH THIS BIKE COSTS?"

Ira rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Haan haan pata hai. Wahii kuch 200-300"

(Yeah yeah I know. It costs around 200-300)

Advik stared at her.

Then suddenly pointed toward the scratch.

"You pay for this."

Silence.

Ira looked offended.

"Excuse me?!"

"You heard me."

"You seriously want money for THIS?"

"Yes."

"You cheap man."

"You scratched my bike!"

"You're acting like I scratched your face!"

"Maybe I'd survive that easier."

Myra turned around instantly pretending to cough because she was laughing too hard now.

Meanwhile Aadhya looked one second away from recording everything.

Ira glared at him murderously.

"You know what? Only because you're Shivansh and Myra's brother am I staying calm right now."

Advik scoffed.

"Oh wow. Thank you for your generosity."

"Otherwise na-"

"What? You'd crash the scooty into me too?"

Kiara burst out laughing loudly.

Ira whipped around dramatically.

"YOU STAY OUT OF THIS."

"Sorry sorry," Kiara wheezed.

Meanwhile Advik bent slightly to inspect the scratch again while muttering something under his breath.

"Unbelievable."

Ira crossed her arms tighter.

For some reason,

She was annoyed.

But also weirdly aware of how unfairly good-looking he looked while being irritated.

Which honestly irritated her even more.

Stupid boy.

Advik finally straightened up before putting his helmet back on.

"Learn how to drive properly."

Ira gasped dramatically.

"And you learn how to talk properly!"

He ignored that completely.

Typical.

Myra sighed.

"Can we please go home before these two start World War Three?"

Advik nodded once.

Then before leaving, he looked toward Ira again.

"You owe me."

Ira immediately replied,

"In your dreams."

He shook his head lightly before finally sitting on the bike.

A few seconds later, he drove away with Myra.

But not before muttering quietly to himself,

"Pagal ladki. Bilkul manners nahi hai. Wo to Meri devrani kii behen hai, isiliye chup hoon."

(Crazy girl. Has absolutely no manners. She's my brother's to-be wife that's why I'm silent)

Meanwhile,

Standing beside her scooty, Ira watched him disappear down the road.

And despite all the irritation,

A tiny smile almost appeared on her lips.

"Such a hot boy," she muttered under her breath before quickly looking away like she hadn't just said that aloud.

Unfortunately,

Aadhya heard it.

Her eyes widened dramatically.

"KYA?!"

(WHAT?!)

Ira's eyes widened too.

"CHUPPPPP!

And immediately after,

Chaos exploded once again outside the school gate.
